The TP10 Pro, now with sinnux

The TP10 Pro is now also available with sinnux, our own Linux system; the TP8 Pro will follow. Same hardware, same tool, but an operating system whose every part we know, build ourselves and sign.

Why our own system

Built for CRA and NIS2

Since September 2026 the Cyber Resilience Act requires actively exploited vulnerabilities to be reported, and from December 2027 all of its obligations apply. Organisations covered by NIS2 have to demonstrate the security of their supply chain. Both require knowing what runs on a device. With sinnux we know it down to the last library.

Every component known

sinnux is built reproducibly from source, on a long term support Linux base. Every release comes with a complete software bill of materials (SBOM) in SPDX format, so vulnerabilities can be checked and closed precisely.

Signed updates with a way back

An update arrives as a complete, signed system in a second partition. If the new system does not start cleanly, the panel returns to the previous state on its own. There is no such thing as half an update.

Locked from the factory

The system is read only. The production variant has no login; maintenance access requires a signed service stick and lasts only while it is plugged in. Building network and plant network stay separated.

Containers with limits

Your own services such as an MQTT broker or Node-RED run as containers next to the interface, with limited memory and processor. Images come only from trusted registries or with a sinnotrade signature, never from the open internet.

Independent of the board maker

sinnux is not built on the board maker's software package but on its own open base. Maintenance and updates therefore do not depend on the board maker's schedule.

More performance for your application

Straight on the hardware

The interface runs without a window system directly on the graphics, natively compiled, without a runtime and without the background services of a smartphone operating system.

3D graphics and multitouch

Graphics acceleration via OpenGL ES and up to ten fingers at once. With a native interface or with your web interface in the kiosk browser.

Only what is needed

Whatever the panel does not need is not in the system. That saves memory and start time and keeps the attack surface small.

The same tool

The TP-Configurator finds sinnux panels on the network by itself and sets them up like Android panels: network, devices on LAN2, apps and containers.

Android panels: hardened and HVACloud ready

If you stay with Android, you also get a different panel than before. Our system service NetPilot is in charge of network, security and updates, independent of the app you run on it.

Signed updates

NetPilot updates itself daily and accepts only updates signed by sinnotrade. If the panel is not healthy afterwards, it returns to the previous version on its own. Every version comes with an SBOM.

Trusted apps only

If you wish, your panels run only apps whose signing keys you have approved in the sinnotrade portal. The policy comes signed from the portal.

Hardening levels and service stick

Workshop, field test, production. In production every maintenance access is closed and opens only with a signed service stick. NetPilot blocks connections to the board maker's servers at every level.

HVACloud ready

Remote maintenance via HVACloud without permanent access: every maintenance job opens its own time limited session with its own key. Devices on LAN2 are reachable only if HVACloud releases them for that session.
